Steamboat Springs Instead of meeting Thursday, the Hayden Town Council will meet Monday this week.
The Town Council will take care of some housekeeping for the new year, such as appointments to boards and committees, and also will consider spending $5,800 to hire a company to build a new website and help manage social media for the town. A discussion also will be held about parking. According to the agenda, councilman Dallas Robinson said the town has a parking shortage to address.
Staff member Jill Delay will present the proposal to hire InSite Media at a cost of $5,800 to develop a new website and to expand the town's use of social media so the town can better communicate with residents.
The expenditure was a part of the 2014 budget.
The Town Council meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Hayden Town Hall.
