Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to an illegal dumping complaint at the 2000 block of Snow Bowl Plaza. Someone was dumping stuff in the trash bin on the side of a building and officers took a report.

10:41 a.m. Officers were called to a criminal mischief complaint at the 1800 block of Medicine Springs Drive. A car was toilet papered and it was later cleaned up. No action was taken by police.

10:47 a.m. Officers responded to a vehicle complaint at Bear Drive and Val d'Isere Circle. A vehicle was parked incorrectly.

11:04 a.m. Officers responded to an animal complaint at the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza. There was a dog at large, and a warning was issued to its owner.

2 p.m. Officers were called to a vehicle complaint at a business at the 2300 block of Mt. Werner Circle. A car was parked incorrectly.

2:28 p.m. Officers responded to a person with a civil complaint at the police department. Someone came in to talk to an officer about an argument with a roommate, and he or she was seeking advice.

2:50 p.m. Officers were called to an illegal dumping complaint at a business at the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Someone had left trash on the side of the business and police took a report.

5:31 p.m. Officers were called to a fraud complaint at the 1400 block of Moraine Circle. Someone had received a suspicious phone call and a report was taken by officers.

7:41 p.m. Officers were called to a vehicle complaint at the 2000 block of Ski Time Square Drive. A vehicle was blocking a condominium's garage entrance and when police showed up, it was gone.

7:58 p.m. Officers were called to a drunken pedestrian at the 500 block of Ore House Plaza. Police contacted the man and no action was taken.

10 p.m. Officers were called to a suspicious vehicle at the Howelsen Hill Ski Lodge. Police contacted the man in the car.

10:12 p.m. Officers were called to an animal complaint at the 2400 block of Melrose Lane. A dog was barking, and police took no action.

Funny how crime occurs in waves in this town. We've had tagging days, graffitti days, theft-from-vehicle days, and this was illegal-dumping day. Many times the culprit "could not be found" because they're sneaky. Now the perps are leaving their garbage all over town.

You can't make this stuff up, so it's best to have fun with it. What will it be next...

Beats the heck out ot the Denver or Chicago police report. Part of why It is nice to live here Go BRONCOS! Time for another Superbowl WIN!

Maybe the Milner Landfill can charge whatever price it wants... We surely don't have a problem with illegal dumping. Let's double the landfill rates and see what happens...!!
