Police, fire and ambulance call
12:47 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of loud music in the first block of Sequoia Court. A warning was issued.
1:30 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bull elk stuck in a person’s yard in the 3400 block of Hiawatha Court. The elk kept banging on the house, but it eventually found its way out of the yard.
2:26 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man passed out at the Ninth Street bus stop. Officers gave him a ride home and released him to a sober roommate.
7:21 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a crash at Walton Creek and Whistler Roads. A car slid through a stop sign and collided with a car. One of the drivers was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with a possible broken hand or wrist. A ticket was issued for careless driving.
7:43 a.m. Officers were called to check on a woman in the 500 block of Anglers Drive who called 911 and was distraught after drinking the previous night.
8:11 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted to complain about a truck and trailer parked overnight on Blue Sage Drive.
11:06 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to pick up an injured skier from Steamboat Ski Area. There were five more pick ups during the day.
12:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of snowboards stolen from a storage area in January at a complex in the 2300 block of Storm Meadows Drive.
2:24 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who was cut off by a vehicle and forced into a snowbank at the westbound ramp at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln Avenue.
7:43 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with back pain.
11:25 p.m. Officers were called to patrol the pedestrian tunnel going under Fish Creek Falls Road near Third Street. A business is responsible for keeping the tunnel clear of snow, and urban skiers have been shoveling snow onto the pavement. Officers contacted people who were snowboarding at the tunnel and made them clean the area of snow.
