Police, fire and ambulance calls
2:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a drunken person near Yampa and Eighth streets. Officers took the person to detox.
2:46 a.m. Officers were called to a noise complaint at the 1300 block of Athens Plaza. A car alarm had been going off for a few hours. Officers contacted the owner, who turned off the alarm.
9:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a shoplifter at a business at the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A man was trying to steal a cellphone cover but wasn't successful. He was issued a summons to court.
9:46 a.m. Officers were called to a civil dispute between roommates at the 1100 block of Soda Ridge Way. One roommate didn't want to pay rent and left without paying.
10:53 a.m. Officers were called to a theft complaint at the 2800 block of St. Moritz Way. A pair of rental skis were left on the porch and reportedly were stolen.
1:37 p.m. Officers were called to a hit-and-run complaint at the 700 block of Yampa Street. A vehicle parked along the street was struck sometime during the night.
1:37 p.m. Officers were called to a criminal mischief complaint at a business in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue. The business had been locking its trash bin with a padlock, and someone kept cutting off the lock to get inside.
3:55 p.m. Officers were called to a civil complaint at the 2800 block of Owl Hoot Trail. Someone took a dresser to a consignment store, not realizing there was jewelry left inside the furniture.
4:50 p.m. Officers were called to a gas skip complaint at a station at the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers later found the party in Hayden, who agreed to return and pay the gas station at a later date.
10:48 p.m. Officers were called to a noise complaint at the 1900 block of Cornice Road. People were yelling and screaming, and officers arrived and told them to quiet down.
