Police, fire and ambulance calls

8:38 a.m. A person came to the Steamboat Springs Police Department and turned in a found personal organizer.

9:23 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $700 snowboard stolen from a locker at Steamboat Ski Area. Police used video surveillance to identify a suspect. The suspect was contacted and given a summons to appear in court.

9:32 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a damaged scooter in the 400 block of Tamarack Drive. It was found on its side, and police think wind might have blown it over.

9:50 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an attempted burglary at a bank in the 2100 block of Resort Drive. It appeared someone tried to break into a building that contained an ATM.

1:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an employer who was concerned about an employee. The employee could not be located.

3:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who said someone had filed taxes using their information.

4:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who ran a school bus stop sign.

4:40 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to a report of smoke coming from a car just south of Steamboat on U.S. Highway 40. The car could not be located.

7:15 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 1700 block of Highland Way.

9:24 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 22600 block of Snowbird Trail.
