Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:30 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a suspicious person in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A woman said a drunken man was following and harassing her. The woman went indoors, and the man was gone when officers arrived.
5:16 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a semi that had crashed near mile marker 144 on U.S. Highway 40. The driver was not injured, but the road was closed for two hours in afternoon while the semi was removed.
7:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of vandalism in the 2800 block of Walton Creek Road. Someone had drawn on, walked through and rode a bike through a newly poured cement slab. Damage was estimated at $12,000.
8:29 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a credit card found in the 100 block of Sixth Street.
12:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a customer and store owner causing a disturbance at a store in the 1000 block of Lincoln Avenue.
12:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious person at Strawberry Park Elementary School. A school employee reported that a parent had come to pick up a child, and the parent possibly was drunk.
2:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a large bus parked partly on the sidewalk in the 1100 block of Yampa Street. It was moved.
2:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a laptop and wallet taken from a car in the Steamboat area.
7:31 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car swerving and going 65 mph in a 45 mph construction zone near mile marker 126 on U.S. Highway 40.
10:54 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person bleeding at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. A drunken man passed out while going to the bathroom and hit his head on the urinal. He was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with a facial laceration.
