Who do you plan to vote for in the Colorado Mountain College District 3 race?

  • Mary Denomy 30%
  • Jay Rickstrew 28%
  • I don't know 43%

80 total votes.

Q. What skills and experience can you offer as a member of Colorado Mountain College's Board of Trustees?

A. As a CPA, a fraud deterrent analyst and master analyst in financial forensics, I bring a broad spectrum of financial knowledge and experience. I was the first woman to receive the CPA Who Makes a Difference award in 2002 from the Colorado Society of CPAs. I have sat on and been the chair and president of several national organizations. Numerous groups and government agencies have sought me out to teach seminars nationally. Never wanting to stop learning, I have just completed my course work for my MBA. Most importantly, my hard work over the last four years as the treasurer and then, chair of the Audit Committee for CMC has prepared me to help CMC reach even higher goals.

Q. How do you think CMC benefits Routt County and how will you represent Routt County as a member of a CMC trustee?

A. The Steamboat campus of CMC is a true gem. It has provided an opportunity for local and international students to learn from a staff and faculty that never stops caring about student success. Local residents can enjoy courses that enhance their culinary skills, as well as their health. The concerts, the reading programs, the ability for the local community to find graduates that are ready to help make their businesses shine are all part of the CMC experience. I am proud and honored to have been part of the building of the new facilities in Steamboat. If you have not been to visit, make some time to do so. I listen, I learn, I lead, so please do not hesitate to let me in on any ideas that you may have about your CMC.
