Police, fire and ambulance calls

3:41 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help an elderly person who fell and needed help getting up in the 900 block of Pine Grove Circle.

8:46 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a mother in the 2700 block of Longthong Road who said her 18-year-old son was missing. The son left for Park City, Utah, the previous night, but the mother said he never arrived. Police located the son at the Uintah County Jail. He had been arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana, having an open alcohol beverage container and for possessing alcohol as a minor.

9:45 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a possible drunken driver near mile marker 118 on U.S. Highway 40.

10:20 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost earrings Sept. 26 somewhere in Steamboat.

10:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a cellphone that was stolen, possibly from a gas station in the first block of Anglers Drive.

11:32 a.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a fire in the 2700 block of Burgess Creek Road. It appeared an electrical problem in a bathroom caused the fire. The fire was contained to the roof and ceiling. No one was home when the fire started.

12:42 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury accident in the 700 block of Marketplace Plaza.

12:48 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a woman who apparently suffered from a medical issue in the 43000 block of Routt County Road 46. The woman had died from natural causes, and an autopsy is going to be performed to determine a cause of death.

12:54 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person having a seizure in the 300 block of South Shelton Lane.

1:55 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car that went off the road near mile marker 54 on Colorado Highway 134. It is thought the driver was suffering from a medical condition, and the driver was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center.

2:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car accident in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A juvenile was taken to YVMC.

2:15 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a cyclist that hit a patch of sand and crashed in the 200 block of Lincoln Avenue.

3:08 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a man who had broken his foot after a box fell on it in the 2800 block of Elk River Road.

3:36 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a musical instrument stolen from Steamboat Springs Middle School.

4:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of juveniles who got into a fight on a school bus in Steamboat. The incident was going to be handled by the school resource officer.

4:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who lost a purse somewhere downtown on Sept. 27.

5:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a delivery truck blocking a lane of traffic at Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

7:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 1100 block of Bangtail Way who wanted to report of harassment. A person wanted to report receiving repeated phone calls from someone.

7:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car swerving at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. It could not be found.

11:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a couple having a verbal argument in the 2500 block of Val D’isere Circle. A roommate had gone to check on them, and the boyfriend reportedly pulled out a gun and told the roommate to leave them alone. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing and harassment.
