Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:29 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department were called to a report of two suspicious men hanging out near a liquor store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. Police determined the men were intoxicated and arranged for them to take the bus home.

2:16 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken man near a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. After the man was contacted by police, he was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center because of his level of intoxication. Police planned to follow up with the bar that provided him the alcohol about possibly over serving the man.

6:10 a.m. Officers were called to a complaint about a loud noise coming from snow removal equipment in the Moraine Townhomes. Police advised the person who was complaining that snow removal is exempt from the city's noise ordinance.

9:26 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible email scam in the first block of Cypress Court. A person received an email from someone demanding money.

10:47 a.m. Paramedics in Oak Creek were called to a report of a noninjury car crash on Routt County Road 16.

12:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft of a cellphone from the 700 block of Yampa Street.

6:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a missing person in the 300 block of Pearl Street. Parents reported their 11-year-old daughter had not come home. The girl was found 20 minutes later.

8:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. An intoxicated man was hanging out in the lobby of a hotel for a long period of time. Police took the man to detox.

'bout time that the police enforce the law about over serving a visibly intoxicated person. Seventh and Yampa area seems to be a good place to start.
