Police, fire and ambulance calls
1:46 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to an animal complaint at the 100 block of Hillside Drive. A dog apparently had been barking since 8 p.m., and a party was concerned because of the cold weather. Police were unable to locate the barking dog.
6:35 a.m. Officers were called to a suspicious vehicle complaint at the 1800 block of Lincoln Avenue. Everything was OK, and officers cleared it without a report.
10:16 a.m. Officers were called to a disturbance at the 500 block of Mountain Village Circle. There was a complaint of someone screaming loudly on the phone, and officers cleared the situation without action.
12:32 p.m. Officers were called to an open door at a business at the 100 block of Anglers Drive. Officers contacted someone to come secure the business.
4:07 p.m. Officers responded to a credit card found at a business at the 100 block of Trafalgar Drive.
4:53 p.m. Officers responded to a complaint about a suspicious person at a business in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A party was sitting at the business's bar being disruptive. Police issued the party a written warning and gave the party a ride home.
8:06 p.m. Officers responded to an animal complaint near Routt Street and Manitou Avenue. A party complained that his or her neighbor's three dogs were off leash and that the dogs' owner was being defensive about the complaint. Police contacted the dogs' owner.
8:42 p.m. Officers were called to a suspicious vehicle complaint at the 800 block of Howelsen Parkway. No contact was made by police.
10:25 p.m. Officers were called to a man complaining about a bear between him and his house at the 2200 block of Val d'Isere Circle, not allowing entry. Officers arrived and helped scare the bear away.
