Steamboat Springs The Oak Creek Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday to consider a recommendation to select Civil Design Consultants Inc. as the town engineer.
A selection committee recommended the Steamboat Springs firm for Oak Creek's upcoming water distribution system project and to work on the town's capital improvements plan, for which it recently received a $5,000 grant to start putting together.
The need for a capital improvements plan fell out of work sessions on Oak Creek's policy matrix, according to Town Administrator Mary Alice Page-Allen.
In addition to the two projects above, the firm also could be used on an as-needed basis for issues in the future, Page-Allen said.
Also on Thursday's agenda, the Town Board will consider the first supplemental budget of 2013 and a resolution stating the town's commitment to the HEAL Cities & Towns Campaign, which is a partnership between LiveWell Colorado and the Colorado Municipal League.
