Police, fire and ambulance calls

7:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 200 block of Sixth Street who had not shown up to work in several days. The person was contacted and was fine.

9:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged at Soda Creek Elementary School.

10:44 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person having an unknown medical problem in the 1300 block of Hilltop Parkway.

10:49 a.m. Officers contacted a drunken person in the 400 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

11:45 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury accident at Steamboat Springs High School.

12:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a box truck that damaged a sign in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

12:58 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who was having an unknown medical issue in the 900 block of Weiss Drive.

1:10 p.m. Officers were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 1600 block of Woodbridge Court. The person was fine.

2:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was setting off fireworks in the Fish Creek Falls parking lot. A warning was given.

3:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found at the Steamboat Springs Transit Center.

3:53 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $50 bike found at the Steamboat Springs Transit Center.

4:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music in the 3100 block of Chinook Lane. A 47-year-old man was arrested for violating a protection order.

5:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear in the 900 block of Yampa Street. It could not be found.

7:15 p.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person bleeding in the 100 block of West Main Street.

8:09 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person in the 400 block of Willow Court who said his or her credit card had been used in a prison to buy a phone card.

8:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of kayakers who had parked on private property in the 3000 block of Clearwater Trail to access Fish Creek. A warning was given.

9:21 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person yelling in the 2100 block of Curve Plaza.

9:54 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 1200 block of Meadowood Court.
