— Routt County Search and Rescue volunteers had to help evacuate a man from Steamboat Ski Area on Sunday morning.

Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue Capt. Michael Arce said the man, whom he could not identify because of medical privacy laws, suffered a seizure while skinning up the mountain. The man needed help off the mountain because he injured and possibly dislocated his shoulder, Arce said.

Arce said the man later was flown to a Denver hospital. An updated condition for the unidentified man could not be verified Wednesday by the Steamboat Today.
