Colorado Mountain College offers study abroad chances


Upcoming study abroad opportunities at Colorado Mountain College:

■ Exploring Other Cultures: Uganda and Rwanda from May 8 to 29

The trip includes 10 days in an urban slum outside Kampala, Uganda, three days in rural Uganda and four days in Rwanda. The class will visit an urban medical outreach clinic, primary school, sustainable farm, women’s sewing co-op and the Genocide Memorial and Museum.

Classroom sessions are from 9 a.m. to noon April 26 and May 6 at CMC’s Alpine Campus. The cost is $3,200 and includes airfare, meals, lodging, transportation and health insurance. ■ Spanish Immersion in Peru from June 15 to July 13

The trip includes four hours daily of Spanish culture and language classes at the Academia Interamericana, lodging with a Peruvian family and full board, a city tour of Cuzco, day trips to ruins, weekend trip to Machu Picchu, airport transfers from the Cuzco airport and optional afternoon culture classes and volunteering experience.
