Adele Dombrowski hockey award recipients announced

— Hannah Samlowski, Tanner Stover and Tehya Johnson won the 2013 Adele Dombrowski girls hockey awards in Steamboat Springs last week.

The annual awards are meant to go to players in the Steamboat girls program who demonstrate the characteristics that defined Dombrowski, such as attitude, determination, effort, laughter and enthusiasm. One award is given at each age level in Steamboat. Samlowski was the U19 winner, Stover the U14 choice and Johnson was the U12 winner.

Dombrowski, who died at age 17 in 2005, was an avid hockey player in Steamboat.
