Authorities identify man who died of heart attack while skiing at Steamboat Ski Area

Steamboat Springs — Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg on Tuesday identified the man who died Monday of an apparent heart attack while skiing as Robert Gawley, 64, of Fayetteville, Ark.
According to a news release from Steamboat Ski Area, Gawley collapsed at about 10:38 a.m. Monday while skiing with friends on the Spur Run beginner trail. Steamboat Ski Patrol began administering advanced life support a few minutes later. He later died at Yampa Valley Medical Center.
