Jamey Swiggart, tennis
Steamboat Springs 2012 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, freshman at Idaho State University
Swiggart continued his banner freshman campaign. On Sunday, Swiggart and his teammates defeated defending Big Sky champion Sacramento State for the first time since 2004. Swiggart improved to 6-1 in singles action by beating Niranjan Ram at No. 5 singles.
Jasper Gantick, lacrosse
2009 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, junior at the University of Tampa
Gantick and Tampa narrowly lost, 14-13, to Dowling College on Saturday in triple overtime. The Spartans are 5-4 on the season. Gantick has started all nine games and has registered 13 ground balls.
Kevin Bertrand, lacrosse
2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, senior at Adams State University
Bertrand has three goals and two assists for the 1-4 Adams State University men’s lacrosse team. He’s also registered six ground balls and 21 shots on goal.
Brian Bertrand, lacrosse
2009 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, junior at Adams State University
Bertrand has played in four of five games for the Grizzlies, registering one shot on goal.
