Police, fire and ambulance calls

2:01 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers found people fighting in the 1900 block of Ski Time Square Drive. A drunken man got upset when someone tried to help, and officers took the man to detox.

2:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:52 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a stop sign that looked like it had been damaged at Seventh and Oak streets.

5:39 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car repeatedly driving around Moraine Circle. The driver was contacted, and she said she was driving around because she could not sleep.

7:47 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that went through a school bus stop sign at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

8:40 a.m. Officers were called to help with a dispute between a landlord and a tenant in the 2600 block of Abbey Road.

10:17 a.m. Oak Creek Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who was bleeding in the 100 block of Moffat Avenue.

11:22 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a vacuum and cleaning supplies taken in the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The items accidentally had been left outside, and someone took them.

12:05 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to check on a home in the 33000 block of Routt County Road 53 near Hayden. The residents were supposed to be gone but had returned early.

1:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music in the 3000 block of Columbine Drive.

2:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of food that had been taken from a restaurant’s outside storage unit in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a reckless driver at Walton Creek Road and South Lincoln Avenue. A driver reported someone had sped up to keep them from merging.

5:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a male poaching a pool in the 2000 block of Ski Time Square Drive.

6:31 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of an accident near mile marker 42 on C.R. 129.

11:40 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud noise on Walton Pond Circle.

11:42 p.m. Officers contacted two people who were hitchhiking at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.

While the City and County are in the troughs of Reefer Madness it should be noted just how many drunks (alcohol) the local law enforcement deal with every night. Hot so with folks legally smoking some weed. They are home laughing and eating Cheetos. No fights, no need to drive them home, No problem.
