Steamboat to host bantam hockey playoffs

Steamboat Springs — The Steamboat Springs Youth Hockey Association will host the divisional bantam-level playoffs this weekend to determine the league champion.
Play begins at 3 p.m. Friday and continues Saturday and Sunday at Howelsen Ice Arena.
The winner will advance to the state championships next weekend in Denver.
The bantam A and B championships will take place with teams from Steamboat, Aspen, Telluride, Durango and Crested Butte.
Bantam players are 13 to 15 years old.
The Steamboat peewee A team is competing in the divisional championships in Aspen this weekend.
