The African Children’s Choir will perform a free concert at 6:30 p.m. March 27 at Strings Music Pavilion. Tickets are required and can be picked up at Bud Werner Memorial Library, City Market, All That Jazz, Holy Name Catholic Church, Concordia Lutheran Church, Steamboat Christian Center and Heritage Christian School. Ticket holders should be seated by 6:15 p.m., then leftover seating will be given to those without tickets. Donations will be collected at the concert.
BLM issues reminder about off-road driving
The Bureau of Land Management Little Snake Field Office in Craig would like to remind people who are planning to collect shed antlers in Northwest Colorado that it is illegal to travel in a motor vehicle off existing roads on BLM public lands, according to a news release.
Off-road driving can cause erosion and other damage as well as impact wildlife habitat. A citation for riding an ATV off existing roads or in a closed area can result in fines of $250, and harassing wildlife can result in a $200 fine, according to the release.
CSU Extension set to host food preservation class
The Routt County CSU Extension will host a class Saturday, March 16 and March 23 about methods of canning, pickling, freezing, dehydrating, food safety and prevention of foodborne illness for those with experience in food preservation.
