Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:35 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a man laying in the street at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street.

1:04 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was concerned about lights being on at their neighbor’s house, and it looked like someone was inside in the 2000 block of Homestead Court. The owner was contacted, and everything was fine.

7:43 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $2,300 mountain bike stolen in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza.

9:37 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a restaurant in the 400 block of Anglers Drive that put alcohol in a child’s daiquiri drink that was supposed to be nonalcoholic. The mother reported the incident after her boy said his drink tasted funny. The incident is under investigation and will be forward to the local liquor licensing authority.

9:49 a.m. A bike found by a Steamboat transit worker was turned in to police.

10:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an 18-pack of beer shoplifted from a liquor store in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Two suspects were found and given summonses to appear in court.

10:42 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a cyclist who cut off a bus at Seventh and Oak streets. The cyclist could not be found.

Noon Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a bear that hit a car near mile marker 124 on U.S. Highway 40. The bear died.

1:06 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of vandalism at a golf course in the 26800 block of U.S. 40.

5:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who lost her keys somewhere downtown. She found them.

5:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a burglary at a residence in the first block of 11th Street. A man said his residence had been ransacked. Eggs had been thrown around, and the coffee maker was knocked over. It did not appear that anything was missing.

6:54 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 2200 block of Après Ski Way.

7:13 p.m. A suicidal man came to the police station. Mental health officials were contacted.

8:34 p.m. Officers were called to a report of fireworks in the 3800 block of Whistler Road.

Somebody called the cops to report that her child was served alcohol ?? Get a life.
