When the first nonstop flight from Denver to Tokyo took off Monday afternoon, Steamboat Ski and Resort Corp. was on board.

Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Rob Perlman was part of a Colorado delegation on the 787 Dreamliner flight by United Airlines.

The flight represented decades of work to link Denver and Asia and also marked the first international flight from North America by Boeing's Dreamliner since the aircrafts were sidelined by a battery issue earlier this year.

Perlman will return to Colorado on Friday.

I can't think of what they could do to make that trip fun, short of a full-on party... and jet lag (x 2 in 4 days) sounds like LOTS of fun. (any more, I get car lag) Thanks in advance for the effort, Rob!!

Did our airline sales tax dollars on food go to help pay for this or is that just to bring people to Steamboat?
