Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:39 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a person who crashed his or her bike on the Yampa River Core Trail. The cyclist was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with head contusions.

2:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car running without its lights on in the 2300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

7:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bear that opened the doors of an unlocked Toyota 4Runner in the 2400 block of Ski Trail Lane. The bear got inside and damaged the center console and dash. Wildlife officers trapped a bear near the residence during the night.

8:01 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue.

9:38 a.m. Officers were called to recover the bike involved in the crash on the Core Trail overnight.

9:39 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse found in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was returned to its owner.

10:23 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a two-car, noninjury crash at Ninth and Oak streets.

11:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of people harassing one another. A warning was issued.

1:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a possible drunken driver at 11th Street and Lincoln Avenue. The driver could not be found.

2:17 p.m. Officers were called to check on a car that had been parked for five days in the 400 block of Gilpin Street. Someone thought it might have been a stolen car. It was not stolen.

4:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an aggressive driver at Mount Werner Road and South Lincoln Avenue.

4:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who tried to pick a fight with a former co-worker at a gas station in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

5:43 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of harassment in the 21300 block of U.S. Highway 40.

6:01 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who was sick in the 1300 block of Saratoga Avenue.

6:06 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

6:32 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a noise complaint in the 100 block of West Second Street in Yampa.

11:31 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a possible structure fire in the 800 block of West Hillside Court. Some exhaust fan wires in the crawl space overheated and created some smoke.
