Police, fire and ambulance calls

2 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a backpack stolen from a bar in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue. The backpack contained money, a passport and a cellphone.

8:09 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 6800 block of Routt County Road 74A. A resident said a neighbor was firing a shotgun to scare some horses away.

9:46 a.m. Deputies were called to check on the welfare of a person in the 29300 block of Oak Drive.

10:14 a.m. Officers spoke with a transient man at Elk River Road and Copper Ridge Circle who had been sleeping behind a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

12:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who lost a $1,000 wedding ring while tubing on the Yampa River.

12:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 2100 block of Curve Court.

12:52 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Fifth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

12:57 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 2800 block of Eagleridge Drive.

2:03 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was putting metal on the railroad tracks in the downtown area, which was causing the crossing gates to go down. Police spoke with a juvenile who was responsible.

2:30 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a juvenile who had been hit by a baseball at Howelsen Hill.

3:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a theft in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A juvenile had stolen things from several businesses.

3:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two juveniles who stole a shirt from a business in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:01 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person suffering from a migraine headache in the 600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue.

6:06 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person receiving harassing phone calls in the 2100 block of Resort Drive.

11:38 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with trauma in the 600 block of East Jefferson Avenue.
