Police, fire and ambulance calls

3:28 a.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 3600 block of Lincoln Avenue.

10:44 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of trash cans being left out on Après Ski Way.

12:07 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a cellphone found in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive.

12:37 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of identity theft in the 57400 block of Clara Way in Clark.

12:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that was parked and had been running for an hour in the first block of Ninth Street.

1:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet that contained $1.98 found in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue.

1:31 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of a fire outside in the 1700 block of Steamboat Boulevard. A two-foot area of wood chips had spontaneously combusted and was smoldering.

1:47 p.m. Officers were called to check on a man that was having trouble crossing the street at Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza. He was gone when officers arrived.

2:10 p.m. Oak Creek and Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of an crash near mile marker 34 on Colorado Highway 131. One car went off the road, and the driver reported falling asleep. Four people were taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center with injuries not thought to be life threatening.

2:23 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 1800 block of Kamar Plaza.

2:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of transients at a gas station in the 900 block of Weiss Drive who had been asked to leave but would not. Officers told them to leave.

3:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a lumber company in the 1900 block of Shield Drive that got a suspicious email from someone wanting to buy large amounts of lumber. The person who sent the email was told to come to the business in person.

3:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car damaged at Third and Oak streets. A 57-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under revocation, suspension or denial; leaving an accident involving damage; and failing to notify police.

4:21 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of harassment in the 21100 block of Miles Ranch Lane.

4:35 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that had scratches and dents after being parked for an extended period of time at Colorado Mountain College.

7:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car mirror that had been broken in the 3700 block of Lincoln Avenue. A teenager had damaged the mirror with a ball and apologized to the owner.

7:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music coming from the baseball fields at Emerald Park. It was annoying the people at an outdoor play at Yampa River Botanic Park.

7:39 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person who had been threatened at a gas station in Yampa.

8:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a resident who had things taken from his or her condo in the 1300 block of Walton Creek Road. There was no sign of forced entry, and the extra key kept under the doormat was missing.

10:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had been sleeping at a loading dock in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. No one was there when officers arrived.

10:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man trying to get into a van in the area of Shadow Run Court. The man was gone when officers arrived.

11:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who wanted officers to check on a bear that had walked into a stairwell in the 2000 block of Walton Creek Road. It was gone when officers arrived.
