Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:12 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a strange noise coming from a basement in the 33300 block of Routt County Road 32. No one was in the basement.

1:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an apparent attempted burglary at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. The previous night, someone had tried to enter the property through an exterior gate, but he or she was not successful.

7:34 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who found a wallet in the Yampa River.

9:51 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse found at a business in the 1800 block of Central Park Plaza. The purse was returned to the owner.

10:36 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that ran a stop sign at Après Ski Way and Village Drive.

10:42 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person who fell at C.R. 60 and Forest Service Road 403.

11:38 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a car that was driving erratically near mile marker 121 on U.S. Highway 40.

11:59 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a cyclist who was wearing headphones and cutting into traffic near mile marker 15 on C.R. 33. The cyclist could not be found.

12:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 1000 block of Central Park Drive.

12:59 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that was double parked on Yampa Street and blocking traffic.

2:28 p.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of a wildfire near mile marker 5 on C.R. 65. Haying equipment being used in a field ignited the fire. It burned about 4 acres of grass.

2:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of tools, an extension cord and a briefcase found under a bridge on the Yampa River Core Trail.

3:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a counterfeit $10 bill found at a bank in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a Social Security card and credit card found at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street.

4:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who found a note on his or her car in the 300 block of Seventh Street saying the car was parked illegally and would be towed. The car was not parked illegally.

5:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a crash at Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue.

5:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car speeding at Ninth and Oak streets.

8:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken woman in the 1900 block of Cornice Road. The 30-year-old was taken to her parents.

10:12 p.m. Officers contacted a drunken person at the police station. A taxi was called for the person.
