Steamboat Springs skiers compete in Governor’s Cup cross-country ski race

Steamboat Springs Several Steamboat skiers performed well at the Governor’s Cup 30-kilometer cross-country ski race Saturday at Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Delta.
Nick Maki, a coach with the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, was the top finisher, coming in eighth place overall in the 30K skate race.
Tammy Jacques was 18th overall and the second overall woman in the 30K skate race. Nikki Dukan was the sixth overall woman and 45th overall.
Stephan Bourgeois was 56th overall.
In the men’s 17-kilometer skate race, Nicholas Madden was fifth.
In the youth division, Sophia Grewal was first, and Dimitri Grewal was second.
