Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club cross-country athletes compete in Scando Cup in Norway

Steamboat Springs Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club cross-country athletes Evan Weinman and Gretchen Burkholder have been competing in the USSA Scando Cup in Trondheim, Norway.
The two qualified for the trip based on their finishes at the U.S. Nationals in early January by being among the top six J1s after three races.
Burkholder, who is the first Winter Sports Club girl to qualify, was 47th in the women’s sprint and 30th in the 5-kilometer freestyle.
Weinman was 40th in the men’s sprint event and 51st in the 10-kilometer freestyle.
