Steamboat Springs The Steamboat Springs School Board will see the results of a recent $88,000 renovation project at Yampa Valley High School on Monday night when they tour the alternative campus during a School Board meeting.
In addition to adding a new science lab and lockers, the summer project also gave teachers at the small school offices for the first time.
Also on Monday, the School Board will finalize their plan to select a new board member to replace former member Wayne Lemley.
The School Board tentatively has decided to interview their two candidates for the position Wednesday.
The candidates include longtime Steamboat Springs resident Jim Kissane, who retired from the global construction firm TIC in August, and Sam Jones, a financial adviser and founder of the Steamboat Springs Challenge Fund.
The chosen candidate will serve until November.
