Steamboat Springs The Hayden High School boys basketball team took care of business Saturday, dispatching Vail Mountain, 68-29, on the road.
Paul Laliberte and Mark Doolin each had 13 points. Jorge Valdez had 11, Isaac Bridges had eight and Carlos Valdez and Dan Engle each pitched in seven as a varied Tigers attack took a toll. In all, 11 players scored for Hayden.
Laliberte had six assists, and Valdez added four blocked shots.
“Overall, we just played a solid game,” coach Mike Luppes said. “It was definitely a game we needed to win, and we did.”
Hayden (6-2) next plays Friday on the road at Hotchkiss.
