Any kind of win would have been sweet for the Soroco High School boys basketball team after a 1-4 start to the season.
The kind the Rams picked up Friday was better than just any win, however. Soroco ran it up on Vail Mountain, improving to 2-4 on the season with an easy 80-35 victory on the road.
“That was what we really needed,” coach Jake Eskridge said.
Ryan Jeep scored 18 points and AJ Anderson had one of his best games of the season, pouring in 15. It was about more than two players, however. Eskridge said the whole Rams lineup found a way to contribute Friday.
“We did some good things defensively,” he said. We got a lot of steals. Everyone played well tonight.”
