— Several Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club slope-style skiers had podium results at a USASA event in Vail last weekend.

Sammy Schuiling was second in the boys 10 to 12 age group, Kai Doyle was third, and Mac Skov was fourth.

Schuiling threw a switch 540 tail grab, right 360 safety grab and left cork 720 tail grab to place second.
“Sammy threw down at this event,” coach Joe Love said. “This was one of the cleanest runs I’ve ever seen from Sammy.”

In the men’s 13 to 15 age category Payton McElhiney was 11th, Ethan Dyer was 17th, Nick Simon was 18th, Matt White was 20th, Camron Zavell was 21st, and Chris Kowynia was 23rd.

“All the kids skied well and landed their runs, which always makes for a happy coach,” Love said.
