Steamboat Springs Registration for the third annual Steamboat Stinger mountain bike race, marathon and half-marathon opens at noon Friday.
The mountain bike race features multiple solo divisions as well as duo divisions for men, women and coed teams. A large part of the mountain bike course’s appeal is that 90 percent is on singletrack. The 50-mile ride includes two laps on Emerald Mountain trails.
The marathon and half-marathon follow a similar course as the bike race.
The cost is $75 for the solo mountain bike race and $140 for the duo category. It’s $65 for the marathon and $45 for the half-marathon. Those interested in doing the ride and run — the King Sting and Queen Bee categories — can register for $130.
The field will be limited to 500 bike racers on the course and 400 running race participants.

The race is expected to sell out quickly, and race directors encouraged people to be ready to register at noon Friday.
