Kevin Bertrand, lacrosse
Steamboat Springs 2008 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, senior at Adams State University
Bertrand, an attackman for the Grizzlies, registered three shots and a ground ball in a season-opening loss to Pace, N.Y. The team next plays March 6 at home against Trine, Ind.
Brian Bertrand, lacrosse
2009 graduate of Steamboat Springs High School, junior at Adams State University
A midfielder for the Grizzlies, Bertrand played but didn’t register any statistics in a 11-10 season-opening loss to Pace, N.Y.
Jasper Gantick, lacrosse
2009 graduate of Soroco High School, junior at University of Tampa
As a longstick midfielder for the Spartans, Gantick has started all four games this season. He’s registered four ground balls on the year. Tampa (2-2) next plays March 3 against Coker College.
Alex Estes, track and field
2010 graduate of Soroco High School, junior at Adams State University
Estes helped Adams State University to a RMAC Indoor Track and Field Championship. He placed fifth in the triple jump and eighth in the long jump. Estes also was named to the 2013 USTFCCCA NCAA Indoor Track and Field All-Region team in the long jump. Adams State is ranked No. 1 in Division II track and field.
