Police, fire and ambulance calls

12:14 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a bus driver who said nine people were fighting in the 1600 block of Mustang Run. Officers contacted some of the people involved, but the others ran away. No one wanted to pursue charges.

12:33 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Steamboat Springs High School.

3:15 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike stolen from outside a bar in the first block of Seventh Street.

10:16 a.m. Officers were called to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue. It appeared someone had tried to break into a restaurant’s food storage unit, but they were unsuccessful.

11:56 a.m. Officers were called to a report of possible drug activity at a gas station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. Officers were doing follow-up investigation.

2:18 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man who was attempting to get prescription drugs by using a false identity at Yampa Valley Medical Center. It is suspected the man also tried to steal items including used and unused needles. The man also was suspected of breaking into a car. A 27-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary, two counts of theft and criminal impersonation.

4:29 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a wallet found in the 800 block of Lincoln Avenue. It was returned to the owner.

5:42 p.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a man who had been attacked by a pit bull, and the pit bull ripped his jeans in the Milner trailer park. The dog could not be found, and an animal control officer was going to follow up on the incident.

6:19 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious man in the area of Central Park Plaza. The man reportedly had been hanging around for several hours and was staring. He was gone when officers arrived.

7:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people throwing snowballs at a neighboring condo in the 2800 block of Blackhawk Court. The people did not come to the door when officers tried to contact them.

7:22 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a drunken person at Lincoln Avenue and Dream Island Plaza. The person was taken to detox.

7:56 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 200 block of Arthur Avenue in Oak Creek. Dogs were barking, and a door was open. It appeared the dogs had opened the door. The owner returned and locked the door.

7:58 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car swerving in the 3100 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The car could not be found.

9:14 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a loud party and bonfire in the first block of Spruce Street. A warning was given.

10:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who said someone was coming into their home in the 700 block of Spring Creek Circle while they were at work. Nothing was missing.
