Steamboat Springs Two veteran Steamboat Realtors have combined to revive the Re/Max brand in the Steamboat Springs market with the opening of Re/Max Partners.
Broker/owners Kimberly Kreissig and Stephan Baden have opened their office at 155 Anglers Drive between town and the mountain and next door to the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association building on U.S. Highway 40.
Baden enjoyed a long run from the late 1990s to 2009 at an earlier Re/Max office about a mile away from the new office. And Kreissig spent more than a decade at Prudential Steamboat Realty. Together, they have 43 years of experience in real estate.
“Our philosophy is simple: We want to have long-term relationships with our customers, so we always put them first,” Kreissig said. “Our agents are experienced, full-time real estate professionals who can provide local knowledge you can count on.”
She said the announcement of a small roster of veteran real estate agents soon will be forthcoming.
Agents can choose from one of two business models: working from an office at the Steamboat headquarters or working remotely with support from the office's staff, business machines and conference room.
Under the Re/Max business model, Realtors get to retain the lion’s share of their commissions, Baden said.
“With Re/Max, you’re in business. You’re working for yourself but not by yourself,” he said.
A third partner — Cheryl Garrity, who has extensive experience in startups — will oversee office and business operations at Re/Max Partners.
Garrity said she already has learned the advantages of being affiliated with Re/Max and its tools and systems for Realtors.
“If for any reason an agent comes to us and doesn’t have a website, we can start at 8 a.m., and they’ll have a website by 10 a.m.,” she said. “It will be fully functioning within hours through the Re/Max platform.”
Re/Max Partners agents also will be able to take educational courses through the Re/Max Web-based television network.
Kreissig and Baden bring broad experience in residential and commercial sales to Re/Max Partners, and both have been involved in home construction and development here. Kreissig and her husband, Peter, also run a successful development/construction company.
Kressig is confident the brand recognition enjoyed by Denver-based Re/Max — with 6,317 offices in 89 countries, including a growing presence in China — will serve Re/Max Partners and its agents well.
