Hayden Public Library will be closed Saturday and Monday in observance of Presidents Day. The library will reopen Tuesday.
Steamboat, Hayden airports receive grants from CDOT
Steamboat Springs Airport and Yampa Valley Regional Airport are among 44 Colorado airports that will receive $20.6 million in grants for safety and infrastructure projects, the governor’s office announced Friday.
The Steamboat airport will receive $555,554 for taxiway relocation, and the Hayden airport will receive $720,000 for a master plan update, according to the release.
The program is administered by the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Division of Aeronautics and is funded by aviation fuel tax revenue, according to the release.
Community trade show set for Feb. 27 at CMC

Weigh and Win available in South Routt next week

Yampatika programs for Boys & Girls Club members
During Blues Break from Monday through Friday, Yampatika will host daily programs for Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs members.
■ Pioneer Winter Life for children ages 9 to 12 is Monday.
■ Animal Tracking for children ages 6 to 8 is Tuesday.
■ Snow Art for children ages 6 to 8 is Wednesday.
■ Snow Science for children ages 9 to 12 is Thursday.
■ Snow Sense Snowshoe for children ages 6 to 8 is Friday.
The free programs are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Environmental Learning Center at Legacy Ranch. Transportation will be provided from the Boys & Girls Club. Registration is required by calling 970-871-3160. The series is funded through the Yampa Valley Community Foundation and the John G. Duncan Charitable Trust of Colorado.
Boys & Girls Club is open next week for Blues Break
The Boys & Girls Club of Steamboat Springs will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. during Blues Break from Monday through Friday. Each day will feature a dress-up color theme, fields trips and outdoor winter activities. The cost is $1 per hour, per child with membership. Yampa Valley Medical Center partners with Studer Group
Yampa Valley Medical Center has partnered with health care consulting firm the Studer Group, which teaches tools organizations can use to improve employee retention, patient and customer satisfaction, financials and market share, according to a news release.
The Studer Group was founded in 1999 by Quint Studer.
“This new partnership shall provide our team of professionals yet another resource to facilitate the differentiation of our service and quality,” hospital CEO Frank May said in the release.
