Steamboat Springs — The Soroco High School boys basketball team flew by De Beque on Friday night, winning on the road, 77-34.
“They played with us in the first quarter, but then we settled in and took care of business the way we needed to,” coach Jake Eskridge said. “Games like this, you worry you’ll get into bad habits, get lazy, but we never did that, so I was pleased.”
Matt Regan had one of his best nights of the season, scoring 28 points. Nic Paxton had 13, and Ryan Jeep scored 11.
The Rams, 8-9, return to the court at 4 p.m. Saturday at home against Plateau Valley.
