BookTrails, an organization that promotes reading and writing, will offer programming Monday and Tuesday during Blues Break. Each program will include reading and writing activities centered around a common theme. On Monday, BookTrails will offer a program on ancient Egypt, and on Tuesday, the program will focus on Greek mythology. The programs are offered from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. as well as from 3 to 5 p.m. and are open to elementary-age students. The cost is $5 per child and $2 per each additional child per family. The programs are held at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore.
Volunteer deadline Friday for Parks and Wildlife panel
The Colorado Division of Parks and Wildlife is in need of volunteers to serve on a new statewide advisory panel that will provide feedback for the agency on hunting, fishing and wildlife management issues in Colorado, according to a news release.
The Colorado Sportsmen’s Roundtable will comprise 16 people and meet twice a year, with the first meeting scheduled for late March. Those interested in serving on the panel are asked to complete an online application at www.wildlife.state.co.us/Hunting/Pages/Roundtable.aspx. The deadline is Friday.
