Police, fire and ambulance calls

1:59 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers contacted a person at Yampa and Eighth streets and gave him or her a ride home.

7:23 a.m. A camera found during Winter Carnival street events was turned in to police.

7:25 a.m. A camera found during the Winter Carnival Night Extravaganza was turned in to police.

7:53 a.m. Officers were called to a report of two elk in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Après Ski Way.

8:11 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of trespassing in the 36900 block of Routt County Road 14.

9:14 a.m. Officers were called to a report of people smoking marijuana in a car at Third Street and Lincoln Avenue. The car was found unattended in a parking lot.

9:55 a.m. A person called officers to report losing a gift card.

10:11 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who was shown the middle finger by another driver who also was driving recklessly.

1:56 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Central Park Drive and Pine Grove Road.

2:01 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who had something worth $500 stolen from his or her post office box.

2:45 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a husband and wife arguing about the title to a mobile home in the first block of Anglers Drive. They were referred to the courts.

2:46 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person in the 40400 block of Fathom Drive who was receiving harassing phone calls from a telemarketer.

2:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of cars parked on Park Avenue that were making it difficult for buses to get by.

3:05 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash at Skyview and Chinook lanes.

3:26 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car seen weaving at Lincoln Avenue and 13th Street. The car was found parked with no one inside.

3:55 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

4:12 p.m. Officers were called to a report of shoplifting from a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. A man reportedly went through the self-checkout lane and could not get his food stamp card to work. Police said the man then left without paying for the groceries. Police know who the man is because he left his wallet in the grocery store.

5:32 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person who had fainted in the 600 block of Marketplace Plaza.

9:42 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a suspicious car at Brandon Circle and Lindsay Drive.
