The Hayden High School girls basketball team couldn’t make it two in a row and lost Saturday on the road against North Park. The Wildcats broke away late in a close game, winning 41-36.
“We were tied at 34 with about 2 minutes, 30 seconds in the fourth quarter, but the momentum changed and they won,” coach Michelle Wilkie said. “We did some good things on the press, created a couple of turnovers and some quick points. I was really pleased with that.”
Olivia Zehner had her second huge night of the weekend. She scored 20 points Saturday, a day after she put in 22 on Friday in a win against West Grand. Laura Johnson had six points and also grabbed seven rebounds. Savannah Williams, meanwhile, had 10 rebounds.
The loss dropped Hayden to 3-13 on the season.
