The Hayden High School boys basketball team blasted North Park on Saturday, winning on the road, 61-35.
“We didn’t play real sharp, but we did what we had to do to get a relatively easy win,” coach Mike Luppes said. “In a game like that, it’s hard to keep the intensity the whole time, but we would like to do a better job of that.”
Mark Doolin had 21 points, scoring four 3-pointers and grabbing eight rebounds. Jorge Valdez scored 16 and had 10 rebounds while Aaron Cramer had 13 points and seven boards.
“We need to limit our turnovers and work on our defensive position, but overall, it was a good win,” Luppes said.
Hayden improved to 14-2 with the victory. The team next plays Friday at Plateau Valley.
