The Soroco High School boys basketball team got 22 points from Ryan Jeep and 20 from Nic Paxton on Friday as it pulled away from North Park in the fourth quarter, winning at home, 75-58.
“We struggled and got in a lot of foul trouble, but we got the win we needed,” coach Jake Eskridge said.
The win bumps the Rams to 7-8, giving them one win more than they had a year ago.
“That was a goal this season,” he said.
Soroco had to dial back its turnovers and to look to pressure to help slow down the Wildcats, but that eventually paid off.
“We have to take care of the ball better down the stretch,” Eskridge said.
