Steamboat Springs snowboarders qualify at Burton event

Steamboat Springs Three Steamboat Springs snowboarders qualified for the finals of the Burton European Open in Switzerland on Wednesday.
Arielle Gold qualified third in the women’s semifinals, finishing just behind Kelly Clark and Ellery Hollingsworth.
Gold’s first run score of 86.67 was good enough to get her into Friday’s finals.
Taylor Gold also qualified for Friday’s finals by finishing fourth in the men’s first semifinal. Gold scored an 87.33 on his first run. Matt Ladley, in his first competition since crashing at the X Games, also qualified for the finals.
Ladley was third in the men’s second heat, registering an 84.67 on his second run.
