Steamboat briefs: Motor vehicle donations help fund Habitat homes
Saturday, February 2, 2013
Routt County Habitat for Humanity is reminding residents that motor vehicle donations help fund new Habitat homes through the Cars for Homes program. Motor vehicles — including cars, trucks, boats, RVs, etc. — can be donated by calling 1-877-277-4344 or by going to www.carsforhomes.org. The cars then are sold at auction or to recyclers or salvage yards, and the funds are used to build Habitat homes in partnership with low-income families.
