Police, fire and ambulance calls
4:44 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of males who were loud and had been jumping on a trampoline for the past seven hours in the 400 block of Eighth Street.
6:02 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an unfriendly transient man sleeping in a gazebo at Little Toots Park.
7:56 a.m. Officers were called to speak to a person about ongoing issues with loud neighbors in the 400 block of Eighth Street.
8:31 a.m. Routt County Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to a report of a golfer who had been bit by a dog in the 26800 block of U.S. Highway 40.
8:41 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found at Steamboat Springs High School.
9:10 a.m. Officers were called to speak to a person who wanted a sign put up on Overlook Drive telling drivers to slow down. The person had his or her dog hit by a car before in the area.
10:02 a.m. Deputies were called to a report of a person bit by a neighbor’s dog in the 32500 block of Routt County Road 35.
10:05 a.m. Officers were called to check on a depressed person in Steamboat.
10:38 a.m. Officers were called to a report of $33 in gas stolen from a station in the 500 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The credit card reader malfunctioned, and the driver returned to pay for the gas.
10:59 a.m. Yampa Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a 58-year-old man who fell off a ladder.
11:55 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a pickup that had been parked for the past week at a parking lot in the 800 block of Weiss Drive.
12:10 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that was parked far from the curb, and it was blocking traffic at 11th and Oak street.
12:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who stole nail polish valued at $3.94 from a grocery store in the 1800 block of Central Park Drive. She was given a summons to appear in court.
2:30 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fainted at the post office.
7:50 p.m. Deputies were called to a report of a deer hit by a car near mile marker 13 on C.R. 129. It was euthanized.
8:17 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an accident at Lincoln Avenue and Old Fish Creek Falls Road. A Toyota 4Runner went through a yard and a fence, down an embankment, rolled several times and came to rest by a residence about 110 feet off the road. The 24-year old male driver was not injured and was arrested on suspicion of careless driving and driving while ability impaired. The Steamboat man cooperated with alcohol testing and blew below a .08. He told police that he swerved to avoid a dog, and he was unfamiliar with the area.
