— U.S. Highway 40 was closed for about two hours Friday about 14 miles west of Kremmling after a semitrailer took a corner too fast and rolled.

Its cargo of two-by-fours littered the road.

The driver and passenger were flown by helicopter to a Denver hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

Colorado State Patrol Sgt. Scott Elliott said U.S. 40 was closed from about 11 a.m to 1 p.m. The semitrailer was totaled and was registered out of California.
