Police, fire and ambulance calls

6:04 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of a piece of construction equipment operating before 7 a.m. at Routt County Road 34 and Amethyst Drive. A warning was given.

6:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a mountain bike stolen at Eighth Street and Lincoln Avenue. It later was recovered in the Yampa River.

8:18 a.m. Officers were called to a report of three cellphones found in the windshield cleaner fluid at a gas station in the 2000 block of Curve Plaza.

8:50 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $400 Trek bike stolen in the 1300 block of Sparta Plaza.

9:35 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a noninjury crash in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. A car crashed into a bridge railing.

10:49 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a woman who would not leave a motel or pay her bill in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue. She eventually left.

12:16 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that hit a parked car and drove away in the 600 block of Snapdragon Way. Officers later found the car and issued the driver a summons to appear in court.

12:55 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $250 kids' bike stolen in the 3100 block of Columbine. It later was found. The brother had taken it.

1:05 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fell in the 33100 block of C.R. 41.

2 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an older Trek bike stolen the night of Aug. 14 in the 800 block of Mauna Kea Lane.

2 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a locked 2010 New Belgium Brewing cruiser bike stolen from a parking garage in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue.

5:30 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a crane that was swinging in the wind in the 500 block of Oak Street.

5:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of three students who had a large amount of marijuana at Colorado Mountain College. College officials handled the situation.

5:43 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a man threatening suicide. He was found alive the next day.

7:32 p.m. Officers were called to a report of people screaming and yelling in the 2600 block of Apr├Ęs Ski Way.

10:18 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with chest pain in the 2300 block of Mount Werner Circle.

11:36 p.m. Officers contacted a minor at Ninth Street and Lincoln Avenue and gave a summons to appear in court for possessing alcohol.
