Police, fire and ambulance calls

7:12 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to investigate smoke in the 41600 block of Routt County Road 76. It was a hot spot from the Aug. 16 wildfire.

7:12 a.m. A wallet found in the 300 block of Old Fish Creek Falls Road was turned in at the Steamboat Springs police station.

7:27 a.m. A cellphone found in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue was turned in at the police station.

7:27 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a credit card found at a hotel in the 700 block of South Lincoln Avenue.

7:44 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a purse found on a bus. It was returned to the owner.

9:26 a.m. West Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to a report of an accident at U.S. Highway 40 and C.R 27.

10:02 a.m. Officers contacted a person sleeping in front of the Routt County Courthouse.

10:12 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a $600 bike stolen from outside a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street.

11:40 a.m. North Routt Fire Protection District firefighters were called to help a person with back pain at Greenville Creek.

12:13 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a $2,000 motorcycle stolen several days earlier from a hotel in the 1000 block of Walton Creek Road.

2:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car alarm going off in the 1600 block of Shield Drive.

2:27 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a counterfeit $20 bill found at a bank in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue.

4:11 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a person who fainted at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

4:31 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help with a USA Pro Challenge bike crash near Anglers Drive and South Lincoln Avenue.

5:02 p.m. Officers were called to a report of two people with marijuana at a Colorado Mountain College dorm.

5:14 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to a report of two cyclists that collided head-on on the Yampa River Core Trail. One cyclist was taken to Yampa Valley Medical Center. The other cyclist, a 52-year-old, man was arrested on suspicion of violating a protection order that forbids him from drinking.

5:39 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a motor home blocking a business in the 400 block of Oak Street.

5:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who was receiving harassing text messages.

5:50 p.m. Officers were called to a report of an attempted phone scam in the 500 block of Ore House Plaza.

6:28 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a person who saw someone spraying graffiti on a light post at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue.

8:48 p.m. Officers were called to a report of loud music and screaming in the 1300 block of Dream Island Plaza.

10:49 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who had to swerve to avoid another car at Walton Creek Road and Apr├Ęs Ski Way.

11:11 p.m. Officers were called to a report of dogs being loud in the 3100 block of Columbine Drive.
