Police, fire and ambulance calls
12:24 a.m. Steamboat Springs Police Department officers were called to a report of two men fighting at a bar in the 700 block of Yampa Street. No charges were filed, and one of the men involved was taken to detox.
4:03 a.m. Officers were called to a report of an accident in the 2500 block of Val D’Isere Circle. A car swerved to avoid hitting a deer and blew a tire.
9:58 a.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike rack that had been moved to a handicapped parking space at Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue.
11:50 a.m. Officers were called to a report of kayak equipment found by the Yampa River.
1:08 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car parked in the middle of the road at 11th and Oak streets.
2 p.m. Officers were called to check on a car that had been parked for a couple of weeks in the 400 block of Seventh Street.
3:16 p.m. Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue firefighters were called to help a child who injured his or her head while riding down a water slide in the 100 block of Lincoln Avenue.
4:33 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a backpack, binoculars, iPod, camera and wallet stolen from an unlocked car in the 1900 block of Bridge Lane.
5:36 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a bike found in the 2800 block of Village Drive.
5:37 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a car that was parked with a dog inside, and the car was blocking traffic in the 500 block of Lincoln Avenue.
8:21 p.m. Steamboat firefighters were called to help a person with an unknown medical problem in the 32800 block of South Elk Drive.
10:20 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a suspicious incident in the 200 block of Missouri Avenue. A male resident reportedly got into an argument with a man walking past his house because he was being loud. The resident had a gun, and the man walking by ran away. Police said the resident then brandished the gun to two females who walked by. A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony menacing. Police said the man was drunk, so he also was arrested on suspicion of prohibited use of a weapon.
10:44 p.m. Officers were called to a report of a driver who thought a car was following him or her at Pine Grove Road and South Lincoln Avenue. The car eventually drove past.
